Coronavirus Update - March 13th, 2020
March 13, 2020
Dear NCA Family,
Church, we are living in unique days. As the Lead Pastor, I will do my best to make appropriate decisions for our ministry. As for now, I want each person or family to make the best decision for themselves regarding church attendance. If you feel you are at risk because of age or have a compromised immune system, I suggest that you stay home.
Church attendance plan starting this Sunday March 15th through April 5th:
At this point, we are still planning to have Sunday services for those who desire to gather. Both the 9:00 am and 10:30am services will be offered. In regard to the mandate made by the governor of Michigan, that no gathering can be over 250 people, I want you to know that our average attendance in the sanctuary during the 2nd service has just been under that threshold for the past several weeks. To guard topping over the 250 people in our 2nd service, maybe there are some of you that normally attend the 2nd service who would be willing to attend 1st service.
If you are unable to attend the Sunday gathering, the message will be posted online by 3pm on Sunday afternoon. As to supporting the on-going ministry of NCA, if you are unable to attend, you are still able to mail your tithe and offering into the church at 41355 Six Mile Road, Northville, MI 48168 or go online to https://www.ncalife.org/give.
Also, on Sunday, all Care Communities/Sunday School/CR meetings will be gathering at 9:00 am, except for our Senior’s Class led by Bill Morgan.
As to mid-week ministries, Ladies Bible study will still plan to meet on Tuesday at 9:00 am in the Café. All Wednesday night programs are still in place at 7:00 pm. Most of these meetings are all small groups and will be a great time for you to fellowship and to pray together. Thursday evening, Celebrate Recovery will be meeting at 7:00 pm. All other ministries and church activities on the calendar are still planned at this point until further notice.
Obviously, we will be making decisions daily as to what our next steps might be.
A caution for everyone. If you are not feeling well or have any fever or symptoms of sickness, please stay at home. Everyone, please take care to wash your hands and use the best health and hygiene practices.
May God continue to help us to be the church in these days. Be a helpful neighbor, especially to anyone who is elderly, and live a Jesus-filled life.
